1961 Brochure (10)
This brochure/catalogue comes to us via New Zealand, where it resided inside the case of a Klingsor tenor saxophone. The horn was bought from the original owner, and when the new owner got the sax, he found this in it.

The text is entirely in German. I will most likely translate it at some point, but I have lots on my plate, it's not a huge priority. In the meantime, enjoy the pretty pictures. The Klingsor saxophones are on page 10.

Klingson (31)
Pete Hales—the man formerly known as saxpics—came up with an interesting theory. After looking at one of the F.X. Hüller-made Klingson altos, and knowing that Hammerschmidt still sells Asian-made Klingson altos and tenors, he has suggested that the Klingson name on saxophones was/is used on those saxophones that the company did not produce themselves. Which of course begs the question, why did the sopranos and baris during the Klingsor production run not carry the Klingson name? We'll need more samples before we can draw any firm conclusions, but it is an interesting theory.
