Silvertone was the stencil name that was sold by Sears Roebuck during the first half of the 20th century. Usually the Silvertone saxophones were made by American horn makers like Buescher.
The Silvertone saxophones do not have the same round thumb screw that fastens neck in the socket, that the rest of the Hammerschmidts do. These horns have convetional neck fastening screws instead.
