1900 |

"1900" is not an official model name. Saxophone historian Pete Hales, founder of The Vintage Saxophone Gallery, coined the model name to refer to the early horns which always had engraving on the bell which, when translated, said: "Universal Exhibition of Paris, 1900".
Also according to Pete: "According to the New Langwill index, the date for these horns is found by looking at the number in the "grenade" ("pineapple") on the bell, so, e.g., "8" would mean "made in 1908"."
