Description: Bb Tenor
Manufacturer: Dörfler & Jörka
Stencil Name: Diamond
Serial #: 16XXX
Finish: Lacquer with nickel plated keys
Source: Thomas F.

Dörfler & Jörka produced alto and tenor stencil saxophones for many companies that strongly resembled the J. Keilwerths of the day. However, D&J are not Keilwerth stencil saxophones.

This is the first Diamond brand saxophone that I have seen. According to the horn's new owner—Thomas F.—the brand is quite common in Sweden. This sax was ordered from D&J by Sweden's Eric Pettersson firm in Stockholm.

Eric Pettersson was a clarinetist and manufactoried clarinets “EP” under his own name in Stockholm. Apparently in 1974 the firm Robert Marlene took over the clarinet Pettersson's business.
