Bell Engraving
Description: Eb Alto
Manufacturer: Maurice Boiste
Stencil Name: Paul Beuscher
Serial #: 7125
Finish: Silver plated
Source: hostistyle on eBay.com

This particular sax has a fork Eb key, which is not present in the Maurice Boiste alto (serial # ?) in this gallery. This particular horn also has a more modern left pinkie cluster. It also has a high F# key, as well as a G# triller.

According to a couple of German sources that I have found, Boiste owned a small saxophone company close to the Selmer factory in Paris. Boiste built a very limited number of exquisite saxophones. His saxophones were known for their left sided bell keys and unique clothes guards.

Boiste's saxophones are quite unique, and quite easily recognizable.

After Boiste stopped manufacturering his own saxophones, he began working for Selmer.
