This is an incredibly minty horn. The seller stated that Akustiks were made in 1952 & 1953. This is not something I have seen written anywhere else however, this dealer is very knowledgeable about vintage German saxophones, so it is very likely he is correct. At this point I am no longer sure if Akustic was a model name, or a stencil produced by VEB.
This sax has high D# and G# trill keys. It also has a microtuner neck. |
