This sax came with 2 necks: the original, as well as a new silver one that the owner had custom ordered from Keilwerth. The owner/seller stated that with this new neck the sound and intonation improved a great deal.
Now it is worth noting that this 1971 Toneking is from a time when the model had become the intermediate model horn. (Note it no longer has the high F# key.) This changeover to intermediate model occurred around 1970. |
