The sax still has its original mouthpiece, lig, & cap, as well as case & key, and lyre. When sold however, it was in need of a restoration.
This alto would have been produced by the Kohlert company after the family relocated from Graslitz to Germany after the Kohlert company/factory in Czechoslovakia was "nationalized" in 1948, and became a part of the collective called Amati. |
