Description: Bb Tenor
Manufacturer: Meister Oswald Wolfram
Serial #: There is none engraved on the horn.
Finish: Silver plated
Source: bluespeter1 on

Note: This horn has the extra engraving MIGMA, which is the acronym for: Musikinstrumenten - Handwerker - Genossenschaft Markneukirchen. This would translate into: Musical Instrument Manufacturer's Association Markneukirchen.

This interesting horn was made under the father's name (Oswald). It has rolled tone holes, right-sided bell keys, a fork Eb, as well as the customary G# and high D/D# trill keys that we see in German saxophones of the era. Additionally, if you look at the left pinkie cluster, you will note it bears a striking resemblance to that of the Eugen Schuster. That might very well be because Oswald worked from 1934 - 1945 by Eugen Schuster, in the area of saxophone production.

I plan to write the history of the company, but until I do, check out the German version on the company's website. (Yes, they still exist!)
