I don't know much about these saxophones, other than Hammerschmidt still sells these Selmer copies on their website in alto and tenor versions. The cheap, laser engraving is reminiscent of the lovely hand engraving of days gone by—the blacksmith portion of it I mean. But this is where the resemblance ends. The rest of the horn just looks like cheap, Asian, stencil horn that could come from any one of a number of factories. |
