Note: Sadly, a number of this photos are very out of focus. I have tried to have the details of the engraving "pop" as much as possible with a bit of HDR touch-up, but it's still junk. (That old photography saying, "garbage in, garbage out", has never been truer.) According to the seller though, this horn has the extra engraving MIGMA, which is the acronym for: Musikinstrumenten - Handwerker - Genossenschaft Markneukirchen. This would translate into: Musical Instrument Manufacturer's Association Markneukirchen.

This interesting horn was made under the father's name (Oswald). It has rolled tone holes, right-sided bell keys, a fork Eb, as well as the customary G# and high D/D# trill keys that we see in German saxophones of the era. Additionally, if you look at the left pinkie cluster, you will note it bears a striking resemblance to that of the Eugen Schuster. That might very well be because Oswald worked from 1934 - 1945 by Eugen Schuster, in the area of saxophone production.

I plan to write the history of the company, but until I do, check out the German version on the company's website. (Yes, they still exist!)
