This incredibly beautiful stencil of Orsi's pro model horn, has the most unusual finish that I have ever seen on an Orsi. I am guessing that this was a very special custom order for someone. Other Voss saxophones certainly are not even silver plated, let alone plated with multi-metals.
BTW, according to Bear at Cybersax, the "rose gold" wash effect in sax bells wasn't gold at all. It was in fact a copper plating applied to the highly polished silver plating inside the bell of saxophones, much like the gold plating applied for a yellow gold wash bell. |
