Bell Engraving
Description: Eb Baritone
Manufacturer: Conn
Model: Transitional New Wonder (12M)
Serial #: M262771
Finish: Lacquered
Source: getasax on eBay.com

This sax—like all transitional horns—has features from both the New Wonder and the Artist series.

From the Artist series this horn has:

–The "Naked Lady" engraving;
–Right-sided bell keys.

Like the New Wonder series though, it isn't stamped 12M under L (designating low pitch), just below the serial number.

This sax was possibly refinished at some point in its lifetime, since lacquer was not an option that Conn offered on its brass horns at the time of the Transitional horns. The horns were sold in a bare brass finish.
