This is one peculiar horn. I was first contacted about this sax a few months before my SOTW buddy Jaye ended up with it at his shop. When I was sent photos of it, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This is the first, and so far only, stencil of a Hohner President saxophone that I have seen.
The serial number would indicate that it is circa 1963. Like all the latter-model Presidents, this Ault Artist has: straight tone holes, the new bell to body brace, no extra trill keys, but does have a high F# key. |
