Bell 2
Description: Eb Alto
Manufacturer: ?
Stencil Name: C.W. Moritz, Berlin
Serial #: N/A
Finish: Matt silver plated body, with polished silver keys and tone hole chimneys, and gold wash bell
Source: mk27111978 on

This horn is likely a stencil, since according to the seller, the C.W. Moritz was known for its brass instruments. Or perhaps, it was a one-off, since it had no serial #, but rather three individual numbers (1, 2, & 6) spread about the body tube. The letter "E" is stamped on the neck.

What's interesting is this horn doesn't look very German in build. It doesn't have rolled tone holes, nor does it have the extra trill keys we usually see on German, and other European horns in the first half of the 20th century. If the info the seller provided is correct, C.W. Moritz company went bankrupt in 1955, so this horn is prior to that.
