This horn had just been lovingly restored. Here is how Randy Cole described the horn:

"An extremely rare late 19th Century Belgian Mahillon military saxophone, in Bb High Pitch. The instrument is quite special, and has been lovingly overhauled and adjusted. It's playing well, and looks fantastic. Keyed to low B, the horn also has a double octave mechanism, making it quite similar to original saxophones designed and marketed by Adolphe Sax himself."
