Description: C Melody
Manufacturer: Oscar Adler & Co.
Model: ?
Serial #: 42XX
Finish: Silver (nickel?) plated
Source: A Friend Of Bassic Sax

This horn is an unusual Oscar Adler for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it doesn't have the company name engraved, nor the company logo stamped on it. However, it does have a serial number consistent with, and features which are nearly identical to, other Oscar Adlers horns. Specifically, this C mel looks very much like the one owned by Graeme Roxburgh. It even has the same Buffet Apogeé-style keys.

According to a undated brochure from the Oscar Adler company, these duplicate low Bb, B, and C# keys—which were to be operated by the middle finger of the right hand—were available on the Eterna, Sonora, and Triumph models. Since we know that this isn't a Triumph, since it is not keyed up to high G, and is missing all the other extra keys found on the model, it might be a Sonora sans the engraving, or more likely, an Eterna.
