This Silvertone was a stencil horn the JK made for Sears Roebuck in circa 1952.

Compare this very simple Silvertone to The Tone King horns of similar vintage, and you will immediately notice the differences. During this time frame Keilwerth was beginning to put acrylic angel wings on all their horns.

This very plain horn, with its left sided bell keys and wire cage key guards, is a throwback to an earlier time in Keilwerth's development. Most likely, it was a horn that could be had for cheaper.
