Description: Eb Baritone (High Pitch)
Manufacturer: Buffet-Crampon (Evette Schaeffer)
Model: These early models did not have names
Serial #: 75XX
Finish: Silver plated
Source: Helen Kahlke

This Buffet-Crampon bari, that was made after Evette & Schaeffer purchased the company, is a high pitch baritone which had been owned by the same person since approximately 1945. The owner resided on Vancouver Island, and even before he purchased it, this sax appears to have been a local horn—if the shipping labels on the case are any indication.

The serial number, 75XX, indicates that it was made circa 1886. It bears a striking resemblances to the Adolphe Sax original bari owned by Randy Emerick of Florida, which is approximately 25 years older.

This sax has a fixed neck; no pearls; no rollers; no water key; and duel octave keys. It is keyed from low B to high Eb.
