Description: Eb Alto
Manfacturer: J. Keilwerth
Stencil Name: Conn
Model: DJH Modified 92M
Serial #: 86XXX
Finish: Lacquer

The DJH Modified horns were built for Conn by J. Keilwerth after Daniel Henkin bought Conn in 1980. Until he sold the company in 1985, Conn was back in Elkhart, Indiana again, and was producing a small number of pro instruments.

This particular sax has straight tone holes. Other examples can be found with rolled tone holes.

These horns usually had the famous Conn "Naked Lady" engraving in the pentagon- shaped box on the bell, but unfortunately in these photos no Lady is visible—naked or otherwise. Either this sax didn't have the engraving, or the photos are too blurry to have caught the details, because they are too faded.

According to Pete Hales, these DJH Modified horns were just stencilled Toneking & New King Series IV horns.
