Description: Eb Alto 28M
Manufacturer: Conn
Model: Connstellation
Serial #: 345525
Finish: Delacquered

According to the seller, this particular sax had just been restored. It has new pads, corks, felts, etc. and adjusted and regulated. The sax does not have any lacquer on it, and was professionally cleaned. The key guard is also an after market piece that is a very good copy of the original, even with the original engravings on it.

This very rare horn is arguably the finest Conn alto saxophone ever produced. The 28M was made with the input of Santy Runyon and Hugh Loney. This horn was different from all other Conns available, and only altos were ever produced. (Although according to Saxpics, a tenor was suggested in the patent drawings.)

In 1950 the selling price of these horns was $382.50.
