Blues Overlooking The Valley

Last PM the guys came over so that I could give them a quick lesson on how to use the WordPress content management system to post to the blog on our Deception website.

The lesson was quick and dirty, and Steve has already even put a post up! Art gets a pass for now, since he doesn’t have a computer at home, but that might change soon enough now that he took early retirement. Gary will tackle the next post after our upcoming show tomorrow PM.

Speaking of our upcoming show, we also had a short band meeting to finalize our set list, and work out some last minute details.

Tomorrow night, July 18th, we will be performing at the Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, for the Envision Twilight Concert Series. The weather is supposed to be fantastic, so we hope to see you there!

The setting of the park is beautiful, with a gorgeous view that overlooks the Fraser River. Just remember to bring a blanket or a lawn chair.

After this show, we’ll be taking the rest of the summer off. Art and his wife will be going on a much deserved vacation, and I’ll be taking a much needed rest.

The hot weather combined with lots of shows, not nearly as many as I would have done before I got ill, but nonetheless more than my neuro-challenged body is used to, took their toll on me over these last 3 weeks. I’m going to take some time, catch up on some pulp-fiction type reading, and just rest for bit.

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
