Panamanian Saxophonist Carlos Agrazal

A number of weeks ago I received an email from a Latin jazz player by the name of Carlos Agrazal. The email contained a series of photos of a Hüttl alto saxophone, and a link to his website. When I checked out his site, I found him to be a very interesting, and very accomplished saxophone player.

The best way to hear his stuff, is to skip directly to the Videos section of the site. All the solos presented under the Music section, are included in video form as well.

Of all the videos included, my personal favourite was number 5. I think the band’s name is Larumbe. Their music reminds me of the stuff we did in Cesar Morales y Sabor Latino.

Since Carlos Agrazal’s site is done in Flash, I can’t link directly to any page, so here’s my favourite video directly from YouTube. The song is called Joselito.

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
