Rockin’ Downtown Abbotsford On A Sunday Afternoon

Yesterday Deception had the pleasure of playing at the annual Abbotsford Berrybeat Festival. Thank you to the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association for inviting us to perform again this year. The applause and cheers from the crowd seemed to indicate that they liked what we had to offer up. But as I’ve so often said before: we couldn’t have done it without the efforts of a great sound crew.

This year’s sound was once again done through the combined efforts of Tom Lee Music and A&D Music. A special thanks goes to Dave Lopez from Tom Lee, who always goes out of his way to make sure that the performing artists’ needs are looked after.

After an exhausting 40 minute set in nearly 30° C, plus a bit of humidity, I was pretty much worn out and ready to crash. I don’t tolerate heat well anymore, and playing sax on outdoor stages in the summertime just wipes me out for days afterwards.

The following are some of the photos that were taken during our performance yesterday.
