Just What Do You Want For Christmas?

Whenever I come across unknown saxophone players on YouTube, I always listen with trepidation, because more often than not, the sounds emanating from my speakers are less than pleasing to the ears.

As I was trolling YouTube this morning, my ears caught a break. I happened across this cover of the Mariah Carey tune, All I Want For Christmas. Given that this was only recorded in a house, and not a recording studio, I think the results are really quite good.

Whoever muta1206 is, he has made some effort to hide is identity in the 50+ videos that he has uploaded to YouTube. Check out some of his other stuff.

muta1206 has got quite the eclectic body of musical work uploaded on the video sharing channel. His music ranges from classical to pop. His latest addition—Agape—is amazing. The David Sanborn influence in this song is instantly recognizable.

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is www.bassic-sax.info. If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
