One of my favourite tenor sax players happens to be Jorge Polanuer from Argentina. In November I wrote a post about some the players’ resources he has developed over the years.
As I said then, his books are a really useful and fun play-along, which can be incorporated into a practice schedule, and can be used to help develop your skills in playing certain styles of music. For example, he has a book dedicated specifically to tangos.
Besides being a saxophonist, flutist, composer, arranger, and teacher, Jorge is also a co-founder of Cuatro Vientos, a musical theatre group. This group features a saxophone quartet consisting of soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone.
Yesterday Jorge landed on my blog & left a comment. In that comment, he provided a link to a video that was done by Cuatro Vientos. I think this is among the most entertaining sax quartet performances that I’ve ever seen. Hope you enjoy… Cuatro Vientos música en movimiento…

That video wasn’t as elaborate as some they’ve done — watch the one for Canal 7, it’s really clean and tight.
I think the second-most important qualification, after being able to play, is how cool you look in a suit. Dancing is third.
Geesh, now we have to dance to compete. ;o)
Luv the sop curvy.
Yeah, and can you see me dancing with a sax right now Jim?
