Ray Myers @ The James Street Café

TicketI had the chance to see my friend and fellow sax player, Ray Myers, perform at a new venue last night. The Ray Myers Band did its first show at the James Street Café in Burnaby. The place was packed, and the dance floor was jumpin’, as Ray kept the hits coming for 4 solid hours.

Ray’s show is a high-energy, R&B dance show, which makes it almost impossible for you to stay in your seat. The music is infectious, and Ray’s arrangements are impeccable. The sound samples, while capturing the musicianship, of course can’t capture the energy of seeing a live show. With Ray, you have to see him, to really get the true picture of what a great showman he really is.
