This unusual Boosey & Co. alto has caused me a lot of work. I wrote an extensive research article about it before taking these photos. 

This alto is keyed from low B to high F. It clearly has no MOP key touches, nor does it have rollers. It also lacks an automatic octave key. It is however, low pitch. (A=440).  I estimate it to been made circa 1880-1920.

It was lovingly cared for, and even had been given an overhaul prior to the current owner buying it. 

The case was made specifically for it from what appears to be a brief or sample product case, from the former La Tondeña Distillers, Inc from Manila. 

This horn has no doubt led an interesting life. If only it could talk.
