An Interesting Hungarian Wall

I happened across this photo by thomwisdom on Flickr the other day, and was intrigued by this odd piece of art in Budapest, Hungry.

My art interpretation skills are not up to snuff, so I can’t even begin to make sense of this sculpture. If anyone has any ideas, I’d certainly like to hear them.

Without the context of where this sculpture is, it makes it doubly hard to make sense of it. Perhaps it is located outside of a jazz club, or a café? If anyone knows the location of this piece of art, please chime in. Perhaps then it will make more sense.

It also looks like the bell of the sax has been damaged somehow.

In any event, this is an interesting sculpture, and an another example of how the saxophone is an iconic image of the musical landscape.

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is www.bassic-sax.info. If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
