Now this just fits into the downright weird, and rather macabre category: A taxidermied bull frog holding a saxophone-shaped object.

The seller describes the little gem like this:
This is a vintage taxidermy frog playing a Saxophone . This was said to have been purchased some time ago on a trip to mexico . Stands almost 8″ tall , Unmarked but mexico i believe . I consider it to be in good condition with 1 broken digit on right finger, and some dust . Base as well as the Saxophone is made of wood . Appears to have some age to it!
Oh, and in case you’re wondering what it looks like from the back, here you go…

The auction for this unique, if not somewhat ghoulish, saxophone collectible runs until January 31. At the time of writing, there was 1 bid of $9.99 on the item.
Update: By the time the auction was over, there were 3 bids on this quirky, if not macabre, saxophone collectible. It sold for $18.50.
How do you find this stuff. Amazing. :o)
I have a built in kitsch locator.
I always wondered what became of Michigan J. Frog.

I haven’t seen that forever! I can’t remember where it’s from, but it’s hysterically funny. (Warner Brothers I believe.) I guess he learned how to play the sax. 😆
