"BassicDo you like what you see? Please consider donating some money—even a small amount is greatly appreciated—towards the costs of hosting & maintaining this site.

I have made the choice not to have advertising on Bassic Sax. Although this means it costs me more out-of-pocket, it also means I can keep my site purely non-commercial.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll likely know it has gone down for a while on occasion. Why? I’ve had to move it to a new server companies.

Over this site’s 20+ year history, I have had to switch hosting companies semi-regularly due to two reasons: traffic and cost. A few years ago I began partnering with a well-known name in vintage saxophone circles: Pete Hales (the man who created the original saxpics site.)

Pete and I decided since both of our sites had grown beyond a shared server environment, we would go in on a VPS space. Although our costs would go up, our stress would go down, since our sites would see a decrease in their downtime.

Pete and I have been virtual room mates now since around 2017, I think, and it is working out very well. However, we are constantly looking for ways to finance our project.

This is where you come in: Can you donate to the cause?

Tens of thousands of people visit this blog a month. (That’s not an exaggeration.) I know not everyone is going to give me a few dollars. However, even if 1 in 10, or 1 in 100 did, that would go a long way towards keeping this website’s lights on, if you will.

All donations are greatly appreciated, and go directly towards the costs of maintaining and hosting Bassic Sax.

Thank you.
