When I saw this on eBay<\/a>, I was trying to get my head around what it was, and how a player would use it.<\/p>\n

I’m guessing this also doubles as a ligature. (?)\u00a0The protective part flips out of the way when the player is playing, and then flips back to cover the reed when the sax is not in use.<\/p>\n

Since I’ve never seen anything like this before, I tried Googling Keach & Greene<\/em>\u2014and various combinations containing the\u00a0name\u2014but that didn’t bring up anything other than a reference to a Conn-stencilled tenor that someone was selling.<\/p>\n
