When azouaous first emailed me about his Hohner President a few weeks ago, he didn’t tell me that he was planning on selling it. He just sent me an email asking if I would like some pictures for my gallery. I was really surprised to see his tenor come up for sale a couple of weeks later.

The eBay ad is in French, so here are 2 versions of it: the original, and the Google translated one.

Saxophone Tenor Hohner president à cheminées roulées, un vintage made in Germany (conception Max Keilwerth), N° de série 5071 avec un bec Vandoren T27.

il est très facile d’émission et jouable sur toute la tessiture (13 tampons refaits à neuf).

I love this one. Google really needs a bit of help with its French to English translation of music words/meanings. 😀

Hohner President Tenor Saxophone rolled with chimneys, a vintage made in Germany (Max Keilwerth design), serial number 5071 with a spout Vandoren T27.

it is very easy to program and playable on all registers (13 pads redone).

If you’d like to learn more about these Max Keilwerth-designed saxophones, check out my Hohner President page. These horns are amazing pro horns that almost no one seems to know about. They are every bit as good as the J. Keilwerths of the same era.

The auction for this President tenor runs until August 8. At the time of writing there were 4 bids on the horn. The high bid was €36.50, which eBay estimates to be $ 48.26 US.
