A seller on eBay has a brand new, saxophone-shaped, decorative instrument, which actually produces notes. Now whether the notes are in tune or not, that’s another matter, but the seller says that the little instrument does indeed make noise.

Here is how the instrument is described:

BAMBOO SAXOPHONE

This is a BRAND NEW and unique Folk Art piece from Mexico.

Handmade in bamboo. There are no 2 equal items.

This unusual item, handmade as folk art, can play! It is very loud, although sound is not refined, this is more like a collective item or a children’s toy.

It can be a decorative item for the unusual form and material.

It weights about 205 grams (not heavy)!!

It measures about:

18 inches x 10.2 inches

46 cm centimeters x 26 centimeters

(Measurements are aproximated, a coke can & ruler are shown as size references)

OK, so I don’t think you’ll be wanting to take it to gig anytime soon. 😉 Nonetheless, this little instrument looks very interesting, and would likely be a great addition to a studio wall, or perhaps a display cabinet.

ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder

Now if this saxophone-shaped, piece of Mexican folk art appeals to you, you only have another day to buy it at the sale price of $35.99. After that the price goes back up to $39.99.
