(Helen) From the company's founding on September 1, 1950, until the mid 1960s, D&J employed between 15-20 people who were responsible for all aspects of the company's alto and tenor saxophone production.

Dörfler & Jörka did offer baritone saxophones; however these instruments came from France as raw parts, and were finished in Nauheim.
