Bb Tenor
Manufacturer: Hohner Musikinstrumente
Model: President
Serial: 11929
Transitional Horn
Finish: Quadruple, sand-matt silver plate, with gold-plated inner bell
Source: saxwerx on eBay.com

This tenor sold in March 2018 for EUR 720,00 (approx. $885.49 US).

This stunningly beautiful tenor saw A LOT of action on eBay (81 bids), so I'm surprised that the price didn't go higher. If you take a look at some of the other dogs (in comparison) that sold for over a EUR 1000,00, I honestly don't understand it.

This President appears to have 2 original MP, cap, & lig sets, its end plug, as well as case. Even the pads appear to be the original (they look identical to the original ones in my 104XX tenor). In short, given the lack of wear on its silver plating, this horn appears to have hardly been played.

This Transitional horn has a C/D trill, rolled tone holes, as well as the octave lever and G# shapes we associated with the Phase 2 series of horns. It does not have the high F# key, which was standard on Phase 3 horns, but does have the newer-style bell to body brace.
