\nWay back in 2001, when I first started Bassic Sax, my web designer at the time enjoyed playing around with the then cutting edge programs like Photoshop and Flash. Now those programs have moved into the mainstream, and have become much more user-friendly. Gone are the days when a person has to take multimedia courses just to learn how to use Photoshop\u2014I’m living proof of that\u2014or anyone of the myriad of programs designed to present materials on the ‘Net. Online tutorials, YouTube videos, and if you’re old school, books by thousands, are published annually on current software.<\/p>\n

Given this technological revolution, it’s not surprising that the outputs of the software have changed as well. They too have evolved and become more sophisticated. That said, there is something to be said for the retro outputs. They give us a snapshot back in time, to when the Internet was a fraction of what it is today. To a time when only a handful of saxophone sites existed on the Internet.<\/p>\n

These little bits of retro humour have been on my site since nearly its inception. I’ve chosen to keep them here because they not only remind us of where we’ve come from, but because they still bring a smile to my face. I hope you enjoy them too. (The Animated Greeting are my favourites.)<\/p>\n
