His friend&#8217;s Dad owned and played it as a boy in the 1950s.<\/p>\n<p>Tim paid about $100 for it, and then another $100 to a repair tech to get it fixed, setup properly, and cleaned. He used it for about 3 years while in school. Since then, it has basically spent the last 20 years as a closet horn.<\/p>\n<p>Tim had hoped that his son might want to learn to play it, but his son recently said he wanted to learn how to play trumpet instead.
