I'm not clear if Caradl was a stencil horn, with it being the name of the ordering company, or if it was a model with sub-models below it. Generally stencil horns don't have the manufacturer's name engraved on the horn, which is why regardless of what the origin of the Caradl name is, these horns would not be considered true stencil saxophones.

Paul Tlapa, the owner of the Caradl Triumph alto, 77XX in this gallery, has come up with an interesting theory about what Caradl refers to. He writes:

"In my eyes 'Caradl' is just a wordplay, made of 'osCARADLer.'"
