#5 in Feedspot’s top 25

The other day my friend, and fellow Woodwind Forum Admin, Gandalfe, sent me a link to Feedspot’s list of Top 25 Saxophone Blogs and Websites To Follow in 2020. The list was just updated on November 8, and I was very surprised that my humble Bassic Sax Blog had made the #5 spot.

This year has been anything but normal for any of us. And quite frankly, my entire website and related blog have been suffering from some neglect. Like so many of us, I had grand goals for 2020, but they got flushed down the crapper for me in January already.

I am very grateful for all the people who subscribe to my site through a variety of means. My monthly/daily stats tell me how many people visit my site regularly, and where this traffic comes from.

I am so pleased to know that what started back in 2008 at the advice of my neurologist, has grown into something that appeals to and provides info for people in over 120 countries, and all but 1 continent. (Although a few years ago I did have a visitor from the Antarctic. There must have been a sax-playing scientist stationed there for a while.) 😉

So as 2020 starts to wind down, I want to thank everyone who visits, comments, and lets others know about both this blog, and the Bassic Sax website. Since my work for Matterhorn Music has been keeping me so busy as of late—and it seems unlikely that that is going to change for the foreseeable future—I am looking to make an addition to the Bassic Sax team in the next while. More about that when everything is confirmed.

In the meantime, let’s all stay healthy. I know COVID fatigue has set in, but what we do now, is what’s going to determine how long this virus is going to be a problem for us going forward. Take good care of yourselves and each other.

    1. Glad to hear that you’re doing OK as well. The degree to which my spirits are up, is inversely related to how much time I spend on the phone with the IT dept. for the software company for work. The more I have to talk to them, the more remorse I get. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I am not working until this afternoon, so I am still happy this morning. 🙂
