Sara, the walrus, lives at the newly opened Istanbul Dolphinarium, in Istanbul, Turkey.
Her Russian trainer Sergiy, has trained her to grip a toy saxophone between her flippers, and pretend to play along to recorded saxophone music, while he dances to it in the background. You have to check out the video of this, it is extremely funny. (Actually, she very much reminds me of a guy whose band I used to play in, but that’s a post for another day.) 😈
Sergiy has also taught her to strike a pose, leaning on a counter, with one flipper under her chin and looking bored.
Sara also wears the hat of a railway platform conductor, and blows a whistle.
With an act like this, it not hard to see how she has quickly become the star attraction at the Istanbul Dolphinarium.
