A Player’s Vintage Selmer Tenor Saxophone

I happened to come across this interesting photo of a vintage Selmer taken by Zaykoski.

I like the stage lights and other colours in the shot, as well as the gear which places the Selmer in its working environment. This is clearly a player’s horn, and not that of a collector… The finish alone gives this away.

Vintage horns certainly have a mystique about them. This would certainly not have been nearly as interesting a photo, if the horn were new and shiny.

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is www.bassic-sax.info. If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
