Pete has scoured the Internet so you don’t have to. This chart will provide you with links to the A to Y’s of woodwind manufacturers. (Apparently there were no companies starting with the letter “Z”.)
The chart lists both past and present manufacturers, and goes beyond simple serial number listings. It also provides links to information about the companies and models in question.
So if you’re looking for information about what year your vintage saxophone—or other woodwind—was built, check out Pete’s handy reference. It is a very useful tool that can save you a lot of time.
