Well after years of being told that our venues don’t allow for proper expression of your dancing abilities, we decided to do something about it. Deception is pleased to announce that we have partnered together with the Straiton Community Club, to host a dance at the famous Straiton Community Hall.
When? Saturday, May 14
What time? 8 to Midnight Doors open at 7:00 pm
How much? $15
What does that get you? Admission to a great evening of blues and a bit of rock music, good times, & a chance at winning some great door prizes
Is it licensed? Yes. Wine, beer, liquor, as well as non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale. There will be some snacks for sale there as well.
Where is this place? Check the map linked above, and then take this easier way:
If you’re coming from Abbotsford, the easiest way to get there is to go north on McMillan Rd. and then turn east at McKee. (That’s a 3 way stop.) Keep going on McKee until you reach the end. Then turn left. The hall will be on your right.
If you’re coming on the Highway 1, you can do the same thing, just take Exit 92 and travel north on Sumas Way. When you come to Marshall Rd. make a right turn. Turn left onto McMillan Rd, then turn onto McKee. Keep going on McKee until you reach the end. Then turn left. The hall will be on your right.
Tickets are available at Bigfoot Moccasin and the Clayburn Store. If you’re from out of town and would like to make arrangements to get a ticket, drop Helen an email. {Don’t bother, it’s over.] 😉
