Sax Is So Simple, Even A Chimp Can Play

OK, so he’s not a real chimp, and it’s not a real sax, but this 9½” tall toy is whimsical enough that it might just make the collector in the crowd very happy. When I saw it on eBay a couple of days ago, I immediately thought of the expression we hear regularly: Sax is an easy instrument to play (badly).

The seller describes the saxophone-playing chimp like this:

Cragstan Saxophone Playing Monkey Battery Operated. It measures 9 ½” high. It plays the drum, blows horn, moves forward and back, swats the bee with his left foot. The fur is intact. The battery box is clean. Nice condition for its age. It uses 2 “D” batteries ( not included). NO box. It is in working condition.
