Just when I thought I’d seen almost all the strangest saxophone-shaped “things” that there might be out there, along comes this high-tech version you wear around your neck: a 4GB sax-shaped USB flash drive necklace.

Psst: Hey Cycling Jersey Mall, you do know that USB 3.0 is now pretty much the norm, right? Ah, none the matter. Who needs speed when you’ve got style and fashion? Isn’t that right?
With those classy rhinestones that are sure to catch the stage lights, this is a functional piece jewellery that the saxophone player in your life can wear with pride—even while performing.
Now granted, this is not my style, but obviously this style of jewellery does appeal to a segment of the female population. Otherwise these lovelies would not have been made and sold…
Most flash drives aren’t fast enough for USB3 to matter anyhow. Even USB2 can sustain transfer rates around 50 MB/second in practice (in theory it’s 60-something), and that’s faster than most flash drives.
This is changing though, so USB3 is a meaningful upgrade. I already have flash devices that will sustain 90 to 120 MB/s (USB3 only of course, though they still work over USB2).
