Different Visual Artists See Saxophones Very Differently

It’s interesting to me how different visual artists interpret our iconic instrument. David Dewis gives the saxophone almost a sinister look with his sculpture. A sci-fi inspired artist was very much thinking outside the box when this robotic gem came into his/her consciousness. This unknown artist in Paris provides a realistic interpretation of our instrument. And whoever the artist was who designed this realistic saxophone out of VW Beetle parts, was clearly thinking in a very big way.

Kristine Kollasch is a visual artist from Phoenix, Arizona. She uses an:

…eclectic blend of styles, techniques and mediums purposefully chosen to best express the art at hand.

This eclectic blend of style and mediums is illustrated in this photo by poweron. Here the saxophone sculpture is a unique blend of materials not often seen together.

I wonder if Ornette Coleman would like this white saxophone for his collection?
