Now Those Are Some Serious Saxes

Dinant, Belgium—the birthplace of Adolphe Sax—does have a number of saxophone sculptures. I have featured a couple of them on my weblog over the past couple of years. 1, 2.

Yesterday I happened to come across this interesting photo by Jakub Krajniak. Krajniak captured what appears to be series of saxophone sculptures that line both sides of a city street in Dinant.

What do you think that dog is doing on the base of this first sculpture? 😉

I know some people (and animals) don’t like the sound of the saxophone, but the dog would have to be a whole lot taller to give this sax a gold wash bell. 😆

…this is just my blog. My “real” website is www.bassic-sax.info. If you’re looking for sax info, you should check it out too. There’s lots there!
