I’m not sure that there’s a saxophone player out that’s not at least a closet fan of Lisa Simpson. The poor, oft misunderstood, 8 year old, may quite possibly be the first saxophone player that young children are exposed to. Lisa Simpson has been the inspiration for many a young player to pick up the horn.
This morning I happened to come across this interesting video on YouTube. I remember hearing a portion of this song once on an episode of The Simpsons. This video however, plays the song in its entirety.
I hope you enjoy The Moaning Lisa Blues… And yes there is a sax solo in it. The bari is one of the last soloing instruments in the piece.
