This AM I happened to come across a vintage saxophone on eBay that I found rather interesting. It’s a Dörfler & Jörka stencilled Voss tenor.
Although the body tube was made by Keilwerth, the neck and keywork is Dörfler & Jörka in origin.

The seller describes this sax as follows:
This auction is for a Vintage Voss Keilwerth Stencil TENOR Saxophone.
Professional Tenor Saxophone.
Rolled Tone Holes.
Heavy well made sax.
Made in West Germany.
Neck has no dings/dents.
Bow has no dings/dents.
Awesome vintage tone.
Needs some pads and maintenance.
Serial Number 10XXX.
Low Pitch.
Case is in serviceable condition.
This is not a C-Melody Sax.
International bidders please check usps.com for about 25 pounds.
Sold AS-IS No Refunds.
This sax is a two-tone model tenor, like most of the D&J horns that have been seen on the ‘Net. As such, I assume it has plastic buttons on the key guards, rather than the real mother of pearl ones that I have on my De Villiers.
This photo shows that the button on the key guard over the low B tone hole is missing.

There is a dent in the body tube just above the bow.

Although the seller says that the bow has no dents, there does appear to be one in this photo. Perhaps it’s just an artifact of the lighting. It’s hard to tell for sure.

The seller certainly has the ability to take artistic shots. Not only are the photos in focus—what a nice change that is—but they are quite beautiful. Not at all what one regularly sees on eBay.
The auction for this D&J stencilled Voss ends on June 8th. At the time of writing there were 2 bids on the horn, and the high bid was $60.00. Reserve was not yet met.

Update: The horn did sell this time around for the ridiculously low price of $355.99. 😯 In total there were 9 bids on this Voss tenor sax.
The vintage sax market has truly crashed. If anyone thinks different, they are dreaming in Technicolor.
Oops. I realize I forgot to give the link to the auction this time around. 😳
